Looks like both died in 2020, when they were 25. Katelyn and Sarah Lothrop. Katelyn was killed in a hit and run. I couldn’t find a COD for Sarah, only an obituary.
Sometimes when there’s no CoD given for a young person it’s suicide or overdose. People are more willing to share something like “after a courageous battle with cancer…” and not share something that might be considered tarnishing like an addiction.

The asking for directions “to stay away” is a running joke that (I think) originated in “It’s always sunny in Philadelphia” and neither in the show, nor at any other point does this running joke make fun of the victims, it specifically makes fun of the hypocrisy of the statements.
The late sex workers are not the butt of the joke and so I strongly believe that your disgust is misplaced.
