    100% South Georgia!

Also to ruin the joke: people who use methamphetamine will use a piece of tin foil to vaporize the crystal.

So people who cannot afford it will not keep opening a series of brand new boxes just to sneak a small square to smoke drugs off of.

But you don’t have aluminum foil over there. You only have aluminium, it’s a completely different situation, you wouldn’t understand.

Of course we do, but at least in Western Europe we take better care of them. There’s generally social welfare programs, shelters, etc. In Amsterdam there’s shelters where they can safely use crack so they have access to clean supplies.

The question “like we DON’T have them” is kind of silly. It’s about how predominant the problem is, not whether we also have a couple.

The US has several times the crack user per capita compared to Europe, depending on where in Europe.

Some people are just assholes though. There was some junkies poking used needles in lemons in stores here to clean them some years ago, even though they could get free needles

Yes some people are just assholes, that is true. The point is there’s several times more assholes per capita in the US.

O, crack users I mean of course.

I ve heard from someone in europe how a shopkeeper frequently has candy bars stolen.

The candy gets tossed on the street, its the foil they want.

“Having heard from someone” this or that is a whole different category than the extent of the drug problems in the US.

“I’ve heard from someone there’s this American Football team in Amsterdam, so basically football is the most popular sport in Europe now.”

I wasn’t really comparing the severity of drug problems in the US vs Europe.

Just that the phenomenon is not exclusive to the US just like being naive about drugs isn’t exclusive to Europe.

Of course it’s not exclusive to the US? The severity is exactly what is noteworthy about the situation in the US though.

What do you mean with being naive about drugs? I don’t think in Europe we’re naive about it, we know there’s addiction here as well but we generally try to take care of addicts as fellow human beings instead of excluding them from society and making the situation worse.

I would have assumed the same but the littering of the candy bars was a specific part of the problem.

I have little reason to believe this person was lying, i also don’t want to give to much if their personal detail context online but fair i wasn’t there myself to witness it.

“All of you” “You all” general Americanism for referencing a group of people.

You are thinking of y’all, which is a southern American slang contraction of “you all.” However, this person put “ya’ll,” so it’s a contraction of “ya will.”

Either way, neither really fits on the context of the sentence. I wish they had just said poor addicts if that’s who they meant to imply. Shame on me for projecting if I’m misinterpreting.

Oh everyone decided to be an asshole about a fun cultural question, sorry you’re all so fucking fragile. I’ll retract my question about “ya’ll” being in quotes because that’s apparently taboo to ask and I should just know because I’m english and there’s no cultural differences at all between different english speaking countries. What a fool I am and you’re all very smart, bigly. I’ll refrain from asking about harmless curiosities in the future since apparently that’s a free ticket to be a snide douche canoe.

That’s a separate issue. Some are concerned that Y’all is spelled Ya’ll, but you’re concerned about the quotes.

That’s to alert the right people to the open foil. The writer knows who they’re addressing, and the right people reading it understand. It’s kind of a “If You know, You know” sort of situation.

Someone like my mom would think the store was being considerate, leaving a sample roll to inspect the quality, like when you check out the eggs.

She doesn’t know it’s to keep the tweakers from stealing the corner of every roll of foil in the store. Honestly, she doesn’t even know what tweakers are.

I do try, but it’s tough walking out my front door every day, and the world is that much shittier because there’s crackheads just leaving trash and detritus everywhere they go. Smoking their drugs in broad daylight on the side of the road. Dodging the needles with every other step. Listening to their arguments and fights every night. They make everything shittier by their presence.
