Fuck Reddit and Fuck Spez.
Spez the pedophile that moderated the jailbait subreddit?
That Spez?
That’s it.
Ahh… Words that warm my heart, fuck them indeed.
Zoinks!
Jinkies, even.
23 skidoo, daddio!
*scatman noises*
daddio
“daddy-o”, right?
Wallah!
Recently I’ve picked up some 25-30 year olds.
OOP makes employment sound really weird. Like picking mushrooms. Or contracting a disease.
I got “picking up abandoned cats at the shelter” vibes.
Like he’s rescueing young people.
It’s entirely accurate. From both perspectives.
Mr-cheesy ain’t so breezy!
This guy works the trades? Maybe Gen Z is going back to the boomer roots of Tim The Tool Man Taylor.
I don’t think so, Tim.
Some of that isn’t limited to gen Z. I’ve had older coworkers make buzzer noises for correct/wrong (like those on a gameshow)
Assuming the Scooby doo one is stuff like “ruh roh”, that specific trend might be recent, but people have been doing silly voices for a while
Although a lot of it could be tiktok trends (or vines for the millenials)

DOI think “ruh roh” is far older than gen Z. I think the first time I ever heard it was a gen X’er. Maybe it just got more popular?
About 6 years ago we were sitting on the beach and a larger wave came in out of nowhere that went say 20-25 feet further up the beach to where we were sitting, I grabbed her and my phone and said ruh-roh as she realized and stood up, didn’t have time to grab the small Bluetooth speaker we had and it got soaked and I grabbed it a few seconds after as the wave retreated. It isn’t a term I say often, but I think it was something I did back in my early twenties when there was the possibility of kids being around. Instead of yelling “oh shit” like my brain wants to… 37 year me goes turns into a cartoon dog
Her: *high chuckle* “Like! Let’s get outta here!”
You: *ihihihihihihi*Zoiks!
*bongo intensifies as feet continue to make circles in midair*
Yeah i’m an early millenial and i got in trouble as a kid at a trading card game convention because i was playing the x files card game, which involved asking the other player yes/no questions and the guy demoing the game mistook my no buzzer noise for a yes buzzer noise and lost because of it.
That’s definitely a skill issue on their part
Wtf is a yes buzzer sound?
“Ding ding”? Still not acceptable lol
I’d use it instead of duh
That’s not a buzzer though
All those 35-year-old gen-z folks are certainly weird.
You would be weird too if you spent the first ten years of your life in a coma.
To shreds you say?
And how about the wife?
and the wife?
To sheds you say?
I hate how they talk about people like property they own.
🫢: Oh my God!
😡: Erm, excuse me? He’s my God too, you know!
We’re called a resource for a reason. Something they pay for, use at a consistent rate, replace when empty. They input the human resources with the other raw materials on one side, and get a product out the other side that they sell for a profit, which they keep.
Its more like a town, not like property.
It’s the same as saying “my town.” It’s not “yours” because you own it, it’s “yours” because you care for it.
What sheltered world did this guy come up in? The list of sounds we used in daily life or quotes from entertainment as Gen X was endless. Everything from “Ruh roh Raggie” to the “arr arrr arrr” from Tim Allen’s character or various Beavis and Butthead references were never too far away. “Book 'em, Danno” an even older reference comes to mind.
(However, in professional settings this should be avoided. Standard chatter with familiar people in the office you can get away with it)
Dude needs to grow up and remember to be young.
Or the dragnet riff… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtKicA7tpK8
Wat’chu talkin’ ‘bout, Willis?
My new college hire is full of energy and makes quirky sounds and I think it’s great. I miss having that.
She also is really good about leaving at 5, which is something the rest of us need to be better about. We had someone in another department point out to me and my boss that she always leaves before we do, and we explained that she’s the one doing things right and not us.

Generation rhetoric is so stupid when it’s not about the boomers /s
