    Don’t loan your friend money.

Give it to them and never expect it back.

That old saying about loaning a friend money means you’ll probably lose the money and the friend both is pretty true.

My bff and I don’t loan cash for any purpose, as previous bad experiences have tainted trying to help people with cash. And I’m gay so no gf.

$4k and a clear conscious. Ez pz.

Wouldn’t the answer be “for what?” I’ll help a friend out with medical payments or car stuff if they can’t commute no problem - if they’re asking me for cash for something dumb, I’m probably not friends with them in the first place.

I definitely called a friend once while traveling abroad when ALL my shit got stolen and was like “yo, I need money” and after some story telling for identity verification he just sent me a grand (which went a long way in S(?)E Asia).

I obviously paid him back when I got home but it fully saved my ass. What a guy

If my friend needed 2k like, tonight, I’m assuming it’s ransom and that we’re mobbing out.

My best friend? Gets the cash no questions asked.

If I needed additional follow ups, then he’s not really my best friend.

I kinda disagree. I trust my best friend completely. I would still want to know the reason. My fear would be that he needs more help than just the money, and that he was afraid to ask for too much help, or enough money. He would get it anyways though

2k though? That’s not a small chunk of change. That would wipe out a lot of people’s savings. In the example it’s nuking half your savings. What if your car blows up tomorrow and the dishwasher breaks?

I can only answer for myself, but in that case then we’re going to figure something out. It would be a shitty situation, but not one that can’t be overcome with the power of friendship!

(Which sounds like a joke but nah really that’s how that would work out)

What do I have? A best friend and a girl! I’m hoping she’s a girlfriend and not a daughter, because I can’t afford the latter.

ah yes. being greedy towards your best friend and relationship for checks note $3000…

i know this is a joke but some people would actually do this…

like im single so cant speak on that front but even if my friend asked for $5000 id still give it to him.

if you dont help your best friend with everything you can, are you really his best friend? or is he just some dude thats chill to hang out with?

Geesh, only checks note $5,000? You people are so greedy these days

I live in a car and sell my body on the streets so I can cover my friend’s college tuition.

Heck no, I bailed an ex-friend for 20$, depending on the month, 20-50$ max is what I would give to all my friends combined.

      Right now, that is 0$

I’m the same, but the last friend I lent 3k to for her rent ended up ghosting me so she wouldn’t have to pay me back. I’m not sad. Its honestly money well spent to know how little our friendship is worth.
