I’m sure Rockstar is quaking in their boots at the prospect of another 30 minutes of basketball footage being released. Why do these “leaks” never have substantial info on the missions or story?

Yeah this whole situation is weird. I suppose AI has allowed for much dumber hackers, but absolutely nothing about the hacker’s motivations make sense here. It reeks of a marketing campaign.

This “cyberleek” is likely a Rockstar marketing campaign, nothing vitriolic or defamatory is being published / said, and these PC Gamer articles read more like ad copy.

First thing I thought after seeing how lame they made the leaker. Now everyone is going to associate that lameness with the desire for physical media.

I’m thinking the exact same thing.
Cause a proper boycott makes demands.
Boycotts never asks the empowered to write their own demands.

🎬2Int. only needs to pretend this never happended, and layoff everyone.
Employees get trippled screwed, T2I makes a tax write off.

In the clip, we see protagonist Jason Duval at an oceanside house—the same one that we’ve seen in trailers. The player jumps over his deck and onto the driveway, where he picks up a basketball and shoots some hoops. For sinking a basket, the player increases their “Focus” by 2%. We see two cash totals listed in the HUD—presumably one for their on-hand cash, and one for their bank.

Another clip, posted almost an hour later, shows the player driving around a beat-up car, crashing into a delivery truck, and then attacking the driver.

Elsewhere, Cyberleek has also published supposed screenshots of the in-game map, though art has appears too simple to be how it will actually look in the game. Below one image is a message from Cyberleek, which claims that the leaks are motivated by Rockstar’s decision not to release a physical version of GTA 6. The image also includes links to various websites where it asks for money, though I wouldn’t rush to visit them.

I’m shocked. This is a never-before-seen take on the GTA formula. The paradigm is not only shifted, it’s downright nudged.

If this was a real leak it would include missions or story points. Not just stuff we all already know about.

Wow that will actually change things forever, well done leaker! You have opened Rockstar and Take Two’s eyes!

They will change their ways for good and get better, hell, they will even find redemption by giving a pay out to those consumers that they previously impacted!
