What gets me the most, I mean really really gets backs my soul into a corner, is when you look around and everyone else is fine.

Do they not smell the shite? Are they really good at masking their disgust or are they eagerly buying in? I cant ask, and I know that if they’re thinking the same about me, they cant ask either.

Am I all alone, getting my spirit raped while everyone enjoys, or are we all alone together?

I’m sorry you’re surrounded by people who haven’t woken up yet, but you are very, very far from alone, and more people are realizing the con every day.

Game theory, every player is playing to their own interest and as the old saying goes, it’s the nail that hangs out that gets hammered. It’s not until there’s a critical mass that the general population starts feeling safe enough to join in. Most people are just trying their best in the system and waiting for someone with enough inertia to come around, with enough will and force to feel safe joining in to changing things. This is also why the main tactic of the system is to divide and conquer, to never allow a critical mass to form.

We can’t wait for others, we must be the change we want to see in the world. The others will follow when the time is right. In this process first you will be ignored, then you will be laughed at, then they will actively fight you, and if you can maintain then you win. It’s a lot of sacrifice to be the one, to be that snowflake that causes an avalanche.

Nah man, you have to ask. What are you truly risking if you do? The world where you admit yours and everyone else’s spirit is raped? It really does smell like shit in here, doesn’t it?

      everyone else is fine.

I’m not fine. I’m horrified. But what am I gonna do, cry in the Walmart? I look fine outside and break down at night, just like everyone else.

Just from what’s going on where I’m working: almost everyone is fine with it. “oh, our main innovation guy is retiring, can he not feed a chatbot?” Or “oh yes, this is relevant for legal concerns, here’s the LLM output” Or “we’ll feed a new LLM with all the 3d models the company has ever made and thus will finally make mechanical engineering open to everyone” (of course, same thing for electrical engineers and software engineers) And I could probably give examples for pages to come…

Yup, they are all doing this with open eyes and not a hint of a thought about the consequences to the company, their own, their potential children or the damn planet.

I happened to have an acoustic guitar version of the Max Payne theme playing when I read your comment, which apparently meant I’d “hear” your words in James McCaffrey’s voice. Similarly, AI music summons the corporate egregore.
