    From another comment of mine on a similar post:

    ADHD protip: commit to only setting up the digital workspace as soon as you get the assignment. Set up a cloud storage folder with google drive or one drive or whatever you use with:

    • a copy of the assignment outline
    • an empty document in the paper format, complete with title and reference pages
    • a folder for reference PDFs or diagrams or quotes or whatever

    Not only have I written numerous fabulously scoring assignments on my phone while taking horrifying IBS shits but also–

    –one time I set this up for a group project and sent the folder out to the members. A few days later I logged in and one of the other members who also had ADHD had basically completed the entire assignment. Cannot say whether she was shitting while writing it but it’s certainly not impossible. A day after that another group member edited it and it was ready for submission five days ahead of schedule.

    The neurochemistry isn’t actually averse to work, you just gotta catch it at the right angle.

      Shit! Just when I was JUST about to buy a house! See, that’s how they get you. First they make you save up money for a while, then your apartment building burns down. Then you move back in with your dad at age 26, because you lost all the money you saved in a fire. Then you start saving money again. Then you realize your dad is losing his mental stability. And then he burns his own house down. So even though it’s been 5 years since you moved back in, you have no legal authority to get him to fix his house. His insurance pays for the cheapest shit possible. Which means his roof was never fixed, and continues to leak. And this creates a house rotting from the inside. Which eventually breeds black mold, mice, and rats.

      So now, after having been living in these filthy conditions without a way to change them, you develop cancer. So your family pays for an apartment for you, for a year, while you can barely move, let alone work. But you beat cancer. And try the ol’ dating game again. Find a woman you get along with, and she starts giving red flags with things she says. Then she sends you a topless pic, and she’s got the confederate flag tattood on her. Oops, you’re dating a racist. So you cut that relationship short, before you ever get too involved. I mean really! How are you going to be a confederate racist in OHIO??? WE WEREN’T EVEN A CONFEDERATE STATE!!! Dumb bitch…

      Then you find a house for $75k. It’s not the best, but not too bad. And besides, you’re currently stuck in a studio apartment cosplaying as a 1 bedroom apartment just because of a wall.

      So with your 40k uou’ve saved up over the past 15 years, 2 fires, cancers, rats, mice, black mold, and your dad having 3 self inflicted heart attacks later, you FINALLY find a place you can call your own.

      Except oops! It’s the fall of capitolism! And while you agree with the core concept, you still can’t help but feeling slighted to have to start over AGAIN, after all that bullshit, now your 40k means nothing because the U.S. dollar is now monopoly money.

      Welp…guess I better move back into my dads house…again…
