Fuck increased birthrates. I want an earth with 3 Billion or less people, I don’t want any of us to have to kill any of them, and no I don’t care that our shitty forefathers made too many babies who are now elderly assholes ruining the planet: fuck em. Productivity has doubled or tripled since their time, we can handle up to triple the burden until they croak.

Nononono, you don’t get it: looking at the past 4+ governments, I think they want to increase the birth rate of the right people.

I was so naïve back when had I thought the Labour would be any different from the Tories…

If they wanted to increase the birthrate if already wealthy people they wouldn’t remove the 2 child cap for benefits.

I want to passively watch half of them die, like we are doing now, while not replacing them. Huge difference.

Whenever population control is mentioned, this inevitably comes up. No, not looking to “remove” anyone, just prevent more births than the natural environment can handle.

I mean, Thanos’ plan may have been popular if he used the infinity stones to reward mothers for limiting their children, using societal pressure and other tools to limit populations for a generation.

              Carrot vs stick.

Just give incentives to voluntarily have less kids. Heck, even just education, high wages, and social mobility (particularly for women) typically drops the birth rate at or under 1 child anyway.

They were probably referring to that, yes. But most of the issue with China was the additional requirement that only men could inherit the family wealth and title so it led to the killing of female babies and skewing of gender ratios.

They sorted a lot of that out lately and its done wonders for their quality of life long term, but they also renegged on the whole plan and are pushing growth again.

    A) bring back third spaces where people can meet up and socialize without money. Decent wages so people have free time. Unions so people have breaks and rights. Walkable cities where you can run into another person and have a chat without being run over by a car.

    B) authoritarian police state where porn is banned but the government has 10gb of photos of your genitals and sells it to advertisers who send you coupons for diapers when you fuck.

That’s not why they’re doing it, they want to tightly control and track what everyone does, limit their freedoms and so on. But yeah.

Nah I disagree. They don’t care about anything specific so long as the population of sheep is robust. They need to shear at their leisure.

They don’t actually care what the sheep do, who the sheep fuck or who fucks the sheep. They are just sheep. There isn’t a moral component at all. It’s a sham to get the sheep signed on.

Capitalists see themselves as a different species.

And yes I understand that I am a sheep.

I only ever saw it as controlling the spread of the horrific and anti-human terrorist philosophy of “believing the mass internment and murder of Palestinians is not a good thing actually”

Literally hundreds of studies showing that if people can buy a house before they’re 40, they will have more children.

You can’t legislate your way into a higher birth rate. Even authoritarian countries have tried and failed. But you can legislate systemic changes that help people with housing, childcare, and groceries.

Not really, standard progressive legislation is seen everywhere from Germany to California.

I guess it would seem extreme left if your only window into politics was a right leaning news feed. A lot of US conservatives have been learning about all kinds of social programs now that its in the news that Trump is dismantling them.

I wonder what sort of programs will be cut if the UK swings right next election? Universal Credit? Disabled Facilities Grants? Cold Weather Payments?

So fuck the youn g generation even harder? You think what? The old which will continue to outnumber them, won’t fuck over the younger generation because they can’t outvote them?

If the “cycle” breaks, the young get turbo fucked. Either you somehow offload the old dependables or you meet the demand. No one in their right mind wants to cull the elderly.

Noett suggesting we cull the elderly, but what’s being in our right mind gonna do for us? The enemy is fucking insane, may as well fight fire with fire. Let’s have a left that isn’t passive yeah
