Not because I care about GTA6, but because the idea of paid time exclusive ads is dystopian and I like the idea of sharing something Rockstar doesn’t want me to.

Not going to bother finding a replacement if this one gets taken down since it’ll be on YouTube in a few hours anyways. Mirror it or don’t.

Wait…so two unknown people just walk up and say they’re picking something up for a guy, and the dudes out front just let them in? That was so ridiculous I couldn’t keep watching

Now introducing our main character: Generic White Guy! I also didn’t see one joke or parody… The thing that’s expected of GTA… It used to be social commentary. This just looks like a cop show about drugs.

Yes, the drug one cut off early… The fast food one felt like society has already passed that level of marketing. Like, if it was on TV today I would jusr accept it as a marketing campaign.

People IRL know where meat comes from. It wasn’t like “hunt your own burger” - or “Now with the special cannibal beef”… It was Poe’s law, nothing signalling extreme parody.

…they just felt like, ads. More like a simulation of what some executive thought was in GTA5, rather than someone moving with it.

Maybe the game itself is the parody. Like when Jeremy Strong’s character in Succession thinks he’s gangster because he listens to rap music and does drugs sometimes. But he’s still just an insecure, corporate manchild.

Isn’t that the premise of every cop/drug movie ever?

I kind of expected a game where you shifted between comedic versions of the current cast of social characters there are in American society today.

Parodying all sides of poverty/wealth, woke and Nazis, Q-pilled Grandmas with guns, Tech Billionaires and fascists, gen-Z and gen Alpha and aging millennials… Hit us all up and make fun of it all.

I’m betting there’s no ICE deportations, flock cameras, or AI bros in the script.

Rockstar used to be a British company parodying American extremism… But they moved the whole company to LA. Now they’re an American company, contributing to America’s corporate culture and politics. That’s probably why this feels undercooked.
