Anyway, again to the best of my not an expert understanding… you have to have a considerably red meat heavy diet, for your chances of colon cancer to rise.
I know charcuterie is bad, and smoked meat is horrible… Actually, yeah, fair, that’s most of the ways I can come up with for heavily processing meat. I guess minced meat is fine?

Red meat isn’t the problem, it’s the fuzzy greenish-blue meat you’ve got to worry about.

Looks like anything with sodium nitrate, like bacon. Sodium nitrate reacts with the protein to form DNA damaging nitrosamines
but it taste good :(
