    the things they were complaining about in the top comment go beyond consoles, they are a problem with PC games too. even on steam and linux. you’d have to buy exclusively from DRM free platforms like GOG.

    also games are not that rare in linux, most work well via steam.

      In a bubble, I’d agree with you on Steam vs. Sony vs. GOG.

      But you can’t just analyze purely based on principles and logic, there are real life precedents for Sony removing content people purchased with no refund nor any form of customer outreach.

      This has never happened on Steam, so in my view you can’t equate Sony and Steam. I would say GOG is better than Steam if GOG didn’t send nazi shit to people.
