This is pretty cool IMO. A study made from this where a large group of people had a pen like this and then you compare the patterns.
They’ll definitely be different based on so many things like what kind of work you do, hobbies, obesity, “phone neck”, how much of a social life you have, what kind of devices you use most.
Now I realise that there are too many variables, still would be cool to see differences in patterns from different individuals.Bic if true.
The definition on that drawing is not too sharp
THIS IS WHY STICK PENS NEED TO BE SOLD MORE OFTEN
sorry I’m a huge pen nerd and I LOVE stick pens but you’ll be lucky to find a single one in a whole stationary aisle I swear to god. and even if one is sold, who’s to say it’ll fit your needs because I think the only ones I’ve seen are usually felt tip and not everyone likes that kind of tip.
What exactly is a stick pen? An image search shows one of those pens with a removable cap?
I’ve tried those before, but the caps always end up disappearing on me, and it felt quite “cheap” quality (BIC Cristal for example)… but maybe there’s some better brands?
Plot twist it’s a shitty tattoo and the pen is just there to justify it
I kind of love the idea of part of her aesthetic being the pen hairtie
It’s just analog head tracking, no worries.
Just click the pen off for her.
…and be charged with harassment.
not a clicky pen
but don’t let that stop you from trying!
edit: clearly I was wrong. see a comment further down for my explanation
It’s clearly a clicky pen
that really looks like a black cap at the top.
maybe I’m wrong, and I’m definitely not gonna get into an online argument over this.
It really looks like a clicker, and my entire day is now dedicated to getting into an argument about this.
I think the reflection on the cap makes it look like a clicky pen
lol, maybe it is a clicky pen. the pic isn’t clear enough to be absolutely sure, so I concede.
edit: in fact, just because the black/white transition appears to be more of a seam without a thickness steppage that you’d see with a cap, I believe it to be more likely a clicky pen than a capped pen. so you’re probably correct.
My favorite arguments are the ones my opponents win for me
But seriously, I didn’t think so at first, but I can see that round nubbin is definitely a clicker even with such poor focus
I honestly can’t see it clearly enough to discern a mechanism amidst the hair, and, in total, it still looks much more like a capped pen to me, but as I said in my edit, because of the smooth physicality and lack of thickness steppage that you’d see with a capped pen, it must be a clicky pen.
and I wouldn’t characterize this as an argument. just a friendly discussion ;)
