It’s hard for me to justify buying anything since my job is so crap. I have the money, I just feel spiteful and angry at capitalism.

The only one I have my eye on (for now) is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and basically because it never gets discounted.

Could be fun to punch a few Nazis, even if only digitally.

Rain World has been on my list for a while and it’s currently 90% off, cheapest it has been since 2023. Definitely picking that up.

I have the original one and I might just do this to get it to work well on the deck. The OG version is kinda janky control wise.

DSP is great, def worth it if you like Satisfactory.

I also love Timberborn. It hits some of the same gameplay notes but with a very different vibe.

I grabbed Mina the Hollower. After finishing 007 First Light this evening, I feel like that will be a good game to follow up with. And will be a nice deck game when I want to play in bed

Other than that it is a back log kinda year(and playing my brother’s games through family sharing)

RDR2! I was actually willing to pay full price for it just a week ago because I need a chill open world game to play after getting my wisdom teeth pulled next week. But then I saw No man’s Sky in my library and got distracted playing that so I didn’t buy RDR2. That was very lucky. I’ll have to see which one ends up being the game I actually play.

I also picked up Half-Life Alyx. It’s actually kinda surprising that I haven’t played it yet after like 5 years of owning a VR headset, but I never played Half-Life 1 or 2 so I felt like I probably wouldn’t have the context to really get it. I might finally get to playing those two soon so having Alxy ready to go makes sense!

Nothing is really jumping out to me.

I may do another run of cyberpunk during rainy season since it’s about all my PC can do and upgrading is basically impossible right now.

I just finished my ~yearly run of Skyrim (with mods other than just skyui for the first time this time).

I used to play a lot of 7 Days, but they lost me when they started adding triggers in POIs that automatically alerted zombies, opened doors, etc. and TFP’s general bullshit after that.

The only other two games I’ve played this year are Last Caretaker (it was alright but had too many performance issues and bugs at the time), and Peglin which I’m also kinda over.

Sales are looking really mid again. I skipped the Winter and Spring sales entirely.

I picked up God Of War: Ragnarok and Spider-Man 2 because the current sales are the lowest I’ve seen them. More than I usually pay for games but I know I’ll enjoy them.

Besides that I picked up a few cheap DLCs for games I play or will play in the near future.

My cart currently (although I’m not sure I’ll pull the trigger on all of them):

    • The Drifter - 20% off (The game I’m most looking forward to playing at the moment. Was hoping for a bigger sale but it never seems to go below 20% so might just pull the trigger).
    • Roadwarden - 75% off (Dirt cheap and I’ve heard good things about the writing.)
    • Road 96 - 80% off (One dollar off the all-time low and I’ve heard great things. Procedurally generated road trip sounds interesting.)
    • The Banner Saga 2 - 85% off (Played the first one and loved the setting, story and writing. Should probably play the sequel at some point).
    • The Sinking City Remastered - 85% off (Found out about this because of the upcoming sequel. Haven’t played a detective game in a while and this looks decent.)
    • Wanted: Dead - 80% off (Made by ex-Team Ninja people who worked on the first two 3D Ninja Gaidens. I’ve heard some mixed things but I’m morbidly curious. I don’t think this is a great game, but it could be fun for a single playthrough for the novelty of it. It is pretty unhinged and might be charming for it).

Also looking at Trepang2, Hell Is Us and ROUTINE but I’m not sure they’re my vibe at the moment.

I just saw that you can get the remastered collection of Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert for 4 EUR, brilliant!
