Canada next please.
I’m aware but I don’t think this was the issue Ulrich was speaking of. If they were, I don’t think it was well conveyed.
I honestly think the vast majority of people on Discord don’t know what IRC is, and therefore don’t have an opinion of it. However, I didn’t mean to suggest IRC as the best alternative anyway.
I understand that but even the text chat is a different experience than what Discourse offers. Even people who only used Discord for text chat and want a replacement for that would be better on IRC.
I don’t really see how someone can position Discourse as the number one Discord alternative. Surely most people looking to ditch Discord want live chat, audio/video calls, and screen sharing… Or am I just in the minority here?
For the record, I think Discourse looks awesome and even thinking about how I might use it for a project, but I do not see it as a Discord alternative.

I’m inclined to agree with it being underwhelming.

Does it work on Linux?

I mean, I share the complaint of Discord having tons of unindexable knowledge locked away in it, but forums are not good replacement for my friend group. So yeah we kinda want a Discord alternative specifically.
My partner just uses mealie’s built in shopping cart.

It may be a proper remake, not just a remaster.

Nah it’s still ten, especially if you grew up in a place that doesn’t include tax in the price. That’s easily getting to mid 8 after tax, and that might as well be ten.

I mean this came up when I posted the story myself, and I immediately tried to launch the game to test it and it worked fine. Another user reported it was fine too.
To be clear, I’m not defending them using their own account service for the cloud saves either, because it is dumb to do so when Steam offers that functionality.

Why do you say that? I thought that it was an interesting story. Miyazaki’s comments have cultural significance imho.

Got a solid chuckle out of me with that one.

That’s such an exaggeration. Do you know how many people played BG3 without ever even knowing 1 or 2 existed, let alone played them?
Or hell, how many people played Witcher 3 without ever reading the books or playing the first two games.

Or the much more likely scenario, it is the 2019 version that released on consoles with in game cheats like no encounter mode, sped up mode, etc.

Is this not only for cloud saves?

You know you don’t have to watch it.
Thank you for sharing, this looks like it has potential and its brand new. Love you FOSS nerds.
