Base price seems fair for a PS5 form factor PC, if you want that (I do). But I was hoping to grab the 2TB model… that’s making me reconsider.

Apparently 2TB hard drives are already pricey anyway, but maybe I’ll try to be careful and uninstall games more, like with the Deck? 512GB is already mostly full with emulation and games I want available on hand though…

My current PC has one terabyte drive that’s essentially full, and all it has on there is media and games, the OS loads of different drive, I sort of feel like in this day and age one terabyte is the minimum reasonable size.

Especially considering that this only has one M.2 slot so if you want to upgrade in the future you have to throw away the current drive which is a bit annoying. Might as well just get a higher capacity drive now, not that 2 terabytes really is high capacity.

But that’s your PC. GabeCube is more of a console, so you wouldn’t necessarily keep that many media files on it.

How many games do you play at the same time?

The absolutely MASSIVE Crimson Desert is only 130 GB. Something like ARC Raiders - 50 GB. Elden Ring - 65 GB.

You can easily fit a bunch of games on a 512 GB drive - especially considering the GabeCube comes with SteamOS, Linux-based, which means it’s not going to gobble up 15-40 GB like Windows does.

Thanks to ADHD? A lot. 😂 Regardless, there’s a LOT of games the size of Crimson Desert or larger. Its not much of anomaly. If you mostly play newer games, you’ll fill that up FAST.
