That I don’t remember getting until about 06. But the coolest thing about the one I got, it had two parts. The first part was the main body where you put your headphones jack. The second part connected to the first with a standard USB port, and that was where the flash storage was. So it was basically a bog standard USB drive, you plug it into your computer, load MP3s on it, and plug it back into the player. If a whole 64 MEGABYTES wasn’t enough for you, you could just carry multiple sticks. Genius design, wish I still had that thing.

I used to record songs off the radio with that. Very inefficient but it worked.
I still have mine. It has an FM receiver and runs off a AAA battery, so it’s handy for listening to the radio for updates during a big power outage.
