i’m amazed that there are still so much bears in Japan, and that they kill people on a regular basis, and that the japaneze society is ok about that.
If a single death ocurred in my country because of a single wild animal, the whole species would be eradicated by both civilians and the government working in concert. I’ve even heard about people in my country cutting tons of trees overnight because one motorbike smashed on one tree and “it was the trees’ fault” (sic)
By that logic it’s a good idea to live in an empty clean room than on planet earth.

This is just going to naturally select for bears that can take down a terminator. Do we really want that?
Well, we need a defence against terminators.

Or worse, bear-proof robot dogs…
When will humans learn?!
20 years from now people will just be buying robot bears due to record robot wolf attacks…
We need to stop the cycle of Japanese attack robots based on animals.

I prefer the threat of a potential bear attack over the guaranteed nightmare of having this thing around all the time.
But it’s not all robot wolves!
Why is she choosing the bear over the robot wolf that makes no sense. The bear is clearly stronger!
Have you ever seen the presentations by Boston Dynamics and the like? The biggest contracts for just about every robotics company probably come from the military. It probably won’t be long before war looks like it does in Terminator 2 - let’s just hope Skynet takes a while to show up, given all the AI stuff governments are already using for their military campaigns…

Oh. I thought it could walk/run, which would have been 200% scarier (and totally overkill, surely).
Turns out that in action the thing looks more like Curiosity with a creepy furby on top of it.
