We need to sexualise the metric system.
The US fought, and apparently won, an entire war, to get out from under the boot which they insist on continuing to measure things by.
Damn, now I’m wondering in which country a person is measured with knives or firearms?

American here, meters are tools for measuring things! Voltmeter measure volts, speedometers measure speed, etc.
Makes me nervous when I’m walking around, because every step I take my phone’s pedometer detects another one :'(
