Last time I saw someone grabbing some food the only reason I saw them was to mention a security guard who was about to turn down the aisle. Gotta watch out for each other

I actually am excited to teach my kid tricks to get free shit from places like Amazon and Walmart. I’ve mentioned my excapades a few times, and have instilled in him we don’t steal from our neighbors no matter how small, people work hard for their shit. But companies that report $54 BILLION in profit and treat their employees like trash are fair game.

*stealing anything. (As long as they’re stealing from a business, at least.)

You could be holding the cashier at gunpoint and emptying out the register, and I didn’t see shit.

        Corporation, you mean.

The word business covers honest people making an honest living running their own thing, too.

True, but they’re probably not ripping you off and reporting billions in profit. Corporations are almost guaranteed to be. My neighborhood gas station is not on the list.

Nah, they’re just ripping you off and reporting thousands in profit.

They’re doing the exact same thing, just on a smaller scale. And if you got rid of the big corpos, they’d grow to fill the void left behind and start doing it on a bigger scale.

So every working person is an asshole and the only ethical way to obtain food is to steal it?

Doesn’t seem too ethical to me. Sounds like a justification for being an antisocial asshole.

Nah, most of them are just working for an asshole.

and the only ethical way to obtain food is to steal it

Well, you could also grow it yourself.

But, sure, stealing is one of the most ethical ways to obtain food.

I once remember reading a story where a police SQUAD chased a woman for over 3 hours in a police chase.

The crime? She had stolen 2 loafs of pumperknickle bread, and ran out of the store. Employees chased her, got her liscense plate, and cops pursued.

They then arrested her, and I forget the exact jailtime she got, but it was more than 10 years. If I were an employee, I’d have “chased” her. Just enough to get my bosses to think I was trying, but then oh no, I’m too fat and slow! She got away in the parking lot.

How do the losses compare to the profits? How do the profits compare to charitable donations? How do the profits compare to taxation? How do the profits compare to average employee wage? You recognize the side you’re taking, right? You’re trying to adhere to a moral line when dealing with a blatently immoral entity.

These are not losses. They’ll just push up the price of goods based on their chance of being stolen.

You’re not stealing from the store, you’re stealing from everyone else that actually pays for the products.

Unless you’re stealing from a small shop that doesn’t have the time and resources to calculate price based on theft. In which case, you are an asshole for stealing from a small business.

Companies unloading customers pockets and not paying living wages. At some point it’s going to be expected you’re going to get shit stolen. Its also insured.

You’re probably the same person to vote against SNAP and free school lunch, then still bitch when people who can’t afford to eat steal it. Either help them, or prepare to get fucked.

Do you live in such an area?

If you were make an ordered list of things that destroy a community, where does “petty theft of groceries” fall on the list? What other things are included?
