That would depend on users following the tagging system. If Imgur is any indication, political posters will purposely not do that, because they think it’s their god-given mission to “spread awareness.”
You’re so right, and they are utterly self-defeating. By attempting to force people to engage, they’re having the opposite effect. People are disengaging instead, and I don’t blame them. We need our spaces for silly humor.
Idk bout imgur, but Reddit’s automod can be set to auto-remove untagged posts or human mods just remove them quickly since it’s a no brainer if it’s not tagged or tagged improperly
Not if we had a system in place for users having the ability to submit tags and the mods to implement those tags.
Then you’d be able to report their posts for reason other than “me no like”

Sometimes it can be less heavy because often people crosspost their thing and you just need to block 'em. But often they are just reposted and damn if i hate seeing the same post 4 times even if i like it
