Oh man, I’m learning German so the joke went over my head completely. In German, Kaufman means something like store clerk or merchant, and the kau is pronounced more like the English word cow.
Wow I thought it was supposed to be Andy Kaufman and the joke was that he was still alive and pretending to be the president or something.
