As a Millenial, I do get this one but no clue about the other one. I did see it but no clue what it’s supposed to be.
I got the other one once someone explained it to me, lol. I just didn’t make the Macy Gray connection at first.
I figured that was what it was about but I have no idea who that is
Whereas I’m a Gen-Xer and I immediately got the Macy Gray one, but this one is… either really complex or stupidly simple.
Boots are made for Walken
Damn, it really was the stupidly simple one. I was honestly hoping there was an actually clever meaning to it that I was whooshing.
I hear the 2nd line delivered in Walken’s voice as a disinterested threat.
TBF, you can read just about anything in Walken’s voice and it sounds like a disinterested threat lol.
These ah, boots, are made for Walken
And that’s just what they’ll do because
Some day…these boots…
Are gonna walk all over you.(Does a little dance because it’s Christopher Walken and he dances in every movie he’s in. Look it up.)
These boots appear to be made for Walken.
“I don’t have any money, all I have is this waAatch.”
Baby Boomers should get this, as the song came out in 1965, but it’s nice that Gen X wasn’t forgotten, for once.
