Demsoc = democratic socialist. They’re the more progressive wing of the American Democrat party who are beginning to take power from the old neoliberals.
They basically just want a system like what Europe has instead of our current system of crony capitalism.
Afaik it’s the biggest American political movement that Europe would consider to actually be on the left part of the spectrum.
What I don’t get is why he’s called a democratic socialist and not a social democrat. You know, the widely used term for parties with his kind of politics around the world.
42 year old here.
…is it weird that I know what rizz is, but I’m only assuming I know what demsoc is based on context?
38 year old here:
I’m gonna give it to the zoomers for coming up with some solid slang with Rizz.
“rizz em with the tism” is my go to bio line
Zoomers did not come up with the term rizz.
That’s the Alphas

44 , no idea. Is it a hairdo?
Charisma (cha"rizz"ma)…
I don’t agree with it, I just know what it is.
Omfg I finally understand where it comes from.
Can I get one of these for “drip”?? Or is that already old?
I think “dripping with money” expressed via the clothes someone is wearing.
Gah. Context made it seem like it was “cool” or “sexy”
Thanks! And , man that is rib lan.
Ter"rib"le s"lan"g.
Probably a play on Orwell’s 1984 “IngSoc” party but with “Dem” instead
“Demsoc” is just a shorthand for “democratic socialist”. Similar to how “ancap” is “anarcho-capitalist” and “nazbol” is “national-bolshevik”.
is Nazgül short for “Republican” or am I getting middle earth slang mixed up with modern?
Yes
