One could argue that the personal computer has been dead since the introduction of the Intel Management Engine which is an internet-connected spy chip inside every computer with full access to all hardware that you cannot observe, modify, block, or disable.

Well, it’s “free”. They bribedlobbied Congress so that the IRS has to pay the provider with your tax money every time someone uses the “free” offering.

It makes it harder to run big servers talking to android apps. Instead of them saying “I’m done, goodbye” they will just ghost the server. Then the server has to keep a connection open and waiting around to hear from you again even though you are done.
This isn’t a problem if a few people do it, but if everyone does it then servers could end up spending more time waiting on abandoned connections than doing real work.

Well one thing I learned while building the outdoor shower was that the water temperature drops off pretty rapidly the further you are from the shower head. So you’d have to heat the heck out of the water for it to be comfortable a story down.
Although at that point you have fuck you money so why not lol.

Free demos attract potential customers but it also attracts people who just want free stuff and aren’t potential customers (the stereotypical example in gaming would be a kid with parents that won’t buy games). From a business perspective it’s a plus being able to save yourself the effort and expenditure of interacting with the second group and only interact with people who proved they have a credit card.
Most delivery vehicles have their exit door on the right (curb) side so this is hopefully easier for the driver and therefore more likely to be used.
