Edit: Original link was removed for Rule 6, but the YouTube version is up now anyways. Edited to replace the link because it’d be a shame for good discussion to be lost.

    *In 2026.

It’s kind of obvious they are double dipping on the anxious that would buy a console solely for GTA.

They haven’t announced it’s coming at all yet, it’s speculation on our end.

They’d be mad not to, but again, they haven’t said it’s actually coming yet.

I’m old enough to remember exactly this discussion for GTA 3, 4, 5 and now 6.

Yeah, they never announce it for PC early so they’re not cannibalize console sales. They do this eeeeeevery time. Every single fucking time.

It’ll be out on PC in due time.

RDR1 was a special case, San Diego didn’t port their previous few games either which is why we don’t have Midnight Club LA on PC for example.

GTA is too big. It’s guaranteed extra sales for a game they already have. Same with RDR2, it was heaps more popular than the first (which itself was more popular than expected I guess) so leaving it console exclusive was never really on the table.

IMO RDR1 doesnt count for that argument.
But yes. The money grabbers got greedy enough to sell it to PC players :p

I guess in that game’s case, it was developed at a satellite studio who thought their spaghetti western game needed spaghetti code to match.
