Imagine if behind-the-scenes they were and the rise of AI was actually fuelling itself? A most disturbing prospect
It’s not just plausible; it’s 100% happening. I’ve seen it with our CEO, with my own eyes. I’ve seen it reported by other C-Staff in other companies. I’ve seen CEO’s directly requote chatbot results.
It’s not a stretch. They’ve had yes men for decades. AI is the ultimate Yes Man, focus on getting you what you ask for, minimize negativity, ignore the skeletons you’re creating.
my former boss was doing exactly that and I wish I was joking
That sounds like a painful work environment
I thought this was a foregone conclusion.
Pretty much. Though some still don’t know
Plausible. Their only C-suite objective is a fiduciary responsibility to shareholders and their wallets.
what’s the difference?
people need to stop holding individuals on a pedestal because of wealth/status.
if i came up with the idea for the first internet payment processor, it doesn’t mean i know jack fucking shit about anything else in life–it just means i had a good idea; it means i was in the right place at the right time; i was there with the right amount of cash to take advantage of the situation.
i don’t care about your opinions on the environment or history or the future of mankind any more than i do the ones coming from the fingers of every know-nothing on social media.
the biggest question is: who the fuck made these people god, or at least the architects of the future, of humanity? did we have a vote on it?
Well said
They absolutely are. The AIs are quite literally building themselves
You can try asking AIs about their usefulness, cost effectiveness, and sustainability. They answers vary much more than the CEOs’.
Altman has literally said his plan to become profitable is to build a chatbot good enough and then ask it. And that he can’t imagine being a parent without relying on chatgpt for everything
And he got to be in that position of power… how? Makes you wonder what goes on behind the scenes 🧐🤔
How could you tell? Using AI to think for them and thinking for themselves both leads to the same outcomes.
The CEO of the company I work for hasn’t had an original thought since 2024.
Which is fine — his original thoughts were all garbage anyway.
Your comment has made my day
People who require their egos to be stroked using the Ego Stroker 3000. AI is a fleshlight for narcissists.
Or like a cesspool for narcissists
Possibility? I thought we knew this was happening for real?
the guardian, annoying cookie banner warning
Based on the number of c levels I deal with daily who can’t function without AI, I certainly knew this
Snake oil salesmen drinking their own snake oil.
It’s probably why they all like it so much. AI speaks bullshit and bullshit is the language they speak.
Of course they are, LLMs have been optimized for performing the fellatio of c-suites for a reason. Sycophancy might not appeal to you, but who do we all know loves a brown noser?
Here’s a video clip of an interview with Masayoshi Son, the CEO of SoftBank (who is heavily invested in AI) saying he talks to ChatGPT for 2-3 hours every day
" I used to talk to people everyday, but they kept disagreeing with me so I stopped. " - him probably
