So glad I grew out of this. I still drink copious amounts of tea but any amount of weed is destructive.

I’ll share something I posted a good decade ago on Reddit.

I used to smoke at least a joint a day sometimes multiple. I was consistently wake and bake outside of work. You know what weed does that no one wants to discuss? It makes you complacent. It sucks your drive to do anything. As a young person that’s a horrible place to be. You are young, you should be taking risks and you should be striving for better.

I agree with you, and I think weed really helped me even though I’m not using any right now.

Sometimes it’s extremely beneficial to be chemically pushed into a good mood and satisfied with just existing, when otherwise existence just seems to be misery and pain.

But it is not a permanent fix. It’s a band-aid while you find more permanent ways to improve your life. But band-aids can hurt to take off when you’re done with them.

I find weed is like alcohol, if it’s a sometimes thing it’s perfectly fine, but if it’s something you’re doing daily or every time you have a night to relax it’s a problem.

Exactly. The danger is using it to escape your life. Life shouldn’t need an escape. If you feel it does you have a larger more difficult conversation you need to have with yourself.
