They haven’t given up here. I’ve seen zero decrease in the amount of Emotional Support Truck douchebaggery in my daily outings. And there’s no doubt in my mind that these are the same people angrily ripping the Trump “I did that!” stickers off the gas pumps.

Anyone who drives one of these things voluntarily can stfu about the price of literally everything.

What I find hilarious is I’ve had my finger on the car market pulse as I’m looking to get a another vehicle between now and 2028 (electric, I’ll never own a gas vehicle again. An older unneutered diesel maybe, but never increasingly ethenol diluted American petrol)

The dealers near me hit a brick wall according to the websites I’ve been using, selling almost zero trucks since unleaded prices tipped past $4.⁰⁰ locally, and before that they were moving about 50% of their new stock of +$60,000 trucks each month, with over 85% moving before the 6 month mark which is frankly just danmed impressive that so many people can get that credited in this region

It’s pretty laughable to drive about here and see a brand new 2026 GMC top trim truck in front of a 900ft² 1960’s delapitated on-slab

Even though gas prices were already high when Biden took office, and he brought them down. But somehow it was still his fault.

And then they’re back to some semblance of normal by the time trump takes office, after which they proceed to skyrocket. Naw, still Biden’s fault. Somehow.

It’s been a few months since I’ve had a truck come up behind my mom mini suv mobile and honk and rev angrily for literally no reason, and that was a weekly occurrence for the last handful of years. They can’t stand when people do the literal maximum speed limit in the right lane for some reason

You shouldn’t be in the left lane if you’re doing the speed limit for more than a mile.

Are we just sharing common sense considerate road laws? Because I made sure to explicitly say these people are raging behind me in the right lane, not left. They just seem to get on the road to be a jerk.

If you have a rear windshield washer sprayer, see if you can angle it straight backwards so it sprays on them.
Bonus points if you make the washer fluid yellow.

My entire business is turning gasoline into the money I need to live, f350 work truck included. Got really lucky finding a 5.4 in the 1 ton frame, 25 years old, and it’s still an absolute dog on fuel. And now I also have the shame of people thinking the truck is because my dick is little, which I feel any time I don’t have equipment on a trailer. At least I kept the Subaru for groceries?

No one cares about old trucks, and very few people are hating on them here

Its the new pavement princesses catching the smoke here, and intentionally blowing it in peoples faces irl

That’s good because I can hardly drive it around how frequently something or other breaks. Hood latch return spring was the culprit this morning.

That. That is fucking sexy! Is it a fuckin cabover!? I bet it gets amazing mileage. Guy I work with has a Mitsubishi flatbed for a spray truck, little 4cyl turbo diesel lugs around 500gal of water no problem.

You may be able to offset that judgement by keeping your truck slathered in mud and always having at least five ladders hanging off it. Says, “Shut up, I actually use this!”

Honestly just having the bed be dinged and/or dirty is plenty to me.

It’s absurd the number of trucks I’ve seen where the bed liner looks brand new, never used, on a 5-10 YO vehicle. No body damage, not even a scuff on the tailgate.

Sure it IS possible to regularly use a truck as a truck and be so careful as to not cause any damage, but it’s incredibly unlikely.
