I mean my morrowind install looks better than base skyrim soooo slapping vr on top would satisfy most people
Yeah, I think even base Morrowind sometimes looks better. Skyrim is higher fidelity though, unless you replace every model and texture. I still assume there’s some stuff that can’t be fixed, but idk.
From lighting to post processing and shaders and to every asset I believe you can make it look like a modern game including a physics engine. On what is not fixed yet: not a lot of animation mods out there while those that are out are pretty amazing. Though like you said even base game can look better than skyrim cause skyrim looks uninspired and populated by patato shaped peolple. Art direction goes a long way
