Pretty sure the new CEOs previous position was manager of AI and micro transactions, not at the same time of course but shows what the company is aiming towards.

I don’t have high hopes for this going down well…They are going to ruin it somehow because Microslop can’t control themselves, there is going to be something nasty thrown into the otherwise good hardware that makes it unappealing to consumers (aside from the obvious net negative, Windows 11).

So far they’re bogarting real NVME support to ‘enterprise customers’ (though you can enable it on Win11 with a reg entry)

So this means the end of Xbox and the end of Windows gaming and the beginning of some… Unholy combo?

    Yeesh.

Good thing there won’t be any AAA games that need heavy processing in 2027 between Trump’s Iran war, Sam Altman gobbling up all of the ram, and AAA developers being extra greedy and shutting down studios if they underperform (Microsoft - Redfall), studios if they perform but not perform good enough (Square Enix - FF16, Ubisoft - Assassin’s Creed Shadows), or studios where they knock it out of the park financial but still fire their staff anyways (EA - Battlefield 6).

Whoa, end of 2027. I guess it’s not end of the world because really it’s just targeting the Windows store environment GDK so a specific dev kit isn’t a barrier to develop for it. It’s not like anyone’s going to optimize for the pillar Xbox Helix hardware. I’m betting it ends up being the lowest selling Xbox
