I ate a beet once and found it absolutely disgusting. They look really similar to radishes so i just assumed radishes tasted the same for the longest time until I had a real Mexican taco with radish. Now I fucken love radishes!
Was the beet from a can? They often carry over a metallic taste that is not good.
Non canned Beets are delicious. Very earthy and savory, with a hidden sweetness. They are great in salads, but really sing in soup. We make a vegetarian bousch with beets, potato, onion, carrot and serrano that I could literally eat every day.
Beats by Dre aren’t very good either.
It was from a buffet salad bar so it’s very likely the case
