If you’re not joking, blood in stool is worth going to the doctor to figure out. It is not worth delaying over as it can be the first sign of colon cancer.

Bright red is fine; it’s the dark, congealed blood you want to worry about. That’s what daddy told me at least :3

Yeah, bright red is just a shallow scratch somewhere near the, uh, opening. Darker blood might be internal bleeding and that can get really bad quickly.

Not necessarily, can also be hemorrhoids from too much sitting and a bad diet.
But you (and I) should definitely see a doctor.

        What causes hemorrhoids?
Pressure building up in your lower rectum can affect blood flow and make the veins there swell.
        That may happen because of:

        • Pushing when you poop
        • Straining when you do something that’s physically hard, like lifting something heavy
        • Extra weight, like obesity
        • Pregnancy, when your growing uterus presses on your veins
        • A diet low in fiber
        • Anal

        Risk Factors:

        • Too much sitting
        • Age
        • Pregnancy
        • Genetics
