    President of Sand Planet has big human arms?! My first instinct is that that sucks, but my second instinct is that it rules.

      I’m not going to try to say it didn’t kind of go off the rails at some point, but I still loved every minute reading that series.

        it’s been a few decades since i last read it but iirc the arms are small degenerate arms that can’t really do much except maybe operate a lasgun but by that point he didn’t really need to do much as he has a private army of fish speakers and his own desert compound within the terrafrormed arrakis

        Rereading it right now. Fucking bizarre. At this point I just want to see what happens in the last book or two.

        That pic on the right? Yeah, that’s Leto II, Paul’s son turned into, mostly, a worm, with a face and tiny hands. Also, he’s going to live about 3,500 years and turn into a mega sandworm, after forcing peace on the galaxy. I assume it gets weirder.
