Right??? And here’s the thing, people out of the loop who don’t read comics might think “Robin” is one character. It’s actually more like a title. There have been 4 different Robin’s. The one most people know is Dick Greyson, who grows up to be nightwing.
Now if it just happened once, fine. Maybe Dick Greyson showed some amazing promise as a crime fighter. And that idea would even be proven further by the fact that he grows up into an adult who still fights crime.
Sure.
But then why did Batman get 3 more Robins??? When they get too old to be Robin, he finds ANOTHER. And ANOTHER! AND THEN HE MAKES HIS OWN SON ROBIN!!!
Plus he works with the police, so he’s never held accountable??? No no no no no no. Nothing about this adds up as Batman being the good guy. It doesn’t even add up to him being A good guy.
Once Dick takes over the role of Batman after Bruce’s apparent death in Batman R.I.P. and Final Crisis, he fires Tim from the Robin mantle and gives it to Damian Wayne, due to Dick believing he and Tim are equals. Tim, believing that Bruce is still alive, assumes the identity of Red Robin and leaves Gotham City to go on a worldwide search for Wayne.
