I Used AI to Make a Webpage Game in less than One Day
The game is based on Reddit’s “The Button” experiment, but with a much longer timeframe. I used GitHub copilot to build both the game and an Ansible role to deploy it into my Kubernetes cluster. There were a few iterative design changes and feature developments that required my intervention, but I almost always found it easier to ask the #AI to do something rather than doing it manually.
We’ve had a version of the button running for a while now.
Thanks for burning this world’s resources to make a shittier version of something that already exists. You’re a hero and you should get a medal! You were so good at typing words into a prompt, and you overcame critical thought and any notions of consequences and rationality so smoothly, like you’ve done this lots of times before! Yay!
@tanisnikana This guy took it so personally 🤣
Seriously though, fuck you in particular for using and encouraging this slop nonsense.
@tanisnikana I’ll do it again.
Cool. Erode your thought processes with pointless shit. I’ll be over here mastering skills.
“guy”
lol, now secure it and maintain it.
(No need, it will be abandoned in 3 days, just like all the rest of the slopware out there.)
I used McDonald’s to make a cheeseburger in less than 30 minutes.
@rtxn "You would make a ship sail against the winds and currents by lighting a bonfire under her decks? I have no time for such nonsense.” - Napoléon Bonaparte
“Quoting a vaguely applicable utterance from a famous person isn’t the slam dunk you think it is.” – rtxn
Lmfao, how did that take more than an hour?
@Cellery I’d love to see you speed run it.
“@Eric” I’d love to speed run it with you and I not using AI for anything. 😎🧊
@[email protected] already made a Fediverse version of The Button.
@Zedstrian lol damn y’all at least it was fun to make. Wasn’t aware of the one by @Demigodrick, do you have a link? Mine’s not really connected to the fediverse - I just happened to share it here. Which apparently was a mistake 🫡
It’s a seasonal game with a different theme and game mechanics each time, but when it is online it’s available here.
