The pandemic is likely responsible for a lot of it, even though people don’t want to talk about it. Covid is proven to reduce IQ, every infection is damaging the brian and the key finding is that people aren’t aware its happened to them.

The teachers I talked to told me children who had remote classes for a year were all behind both mentally and emotionally, not even because of infection, just because they basically skipped a year of life.
They had a year to nonstop melt their brains on social media.
That’s most likely more the reason than the virus itself.
