They (say they are) are worried about national security. Like they don’t want it being able to somehow map all military bases or whatever.
That’s really a tall tale they are trying to sell though.
They don’t want a cheap competitor in the American markets and they don’t have a guarantee that Chinese companies will hand over data on a whim the way they can force American manufacturers to do.
I’m more okay with China spying on me than US companies. China doesn’t really have a way or motive to effect my life.
