Altman thinks the public won’t be talking as much about “AI” a decade from now – it’ll be expected everywhere. “A kid growing up today will never be smarter than AI, but he or she will also never have understood a world where every product and service that they interact with is not really smart and really capable and really helpful,” he said.
If my air conditioner could talk, it wouldn’t shut up about how hot it is.
Toasters would be worse.
CEO said a thing
This is demonstrably wrong. It doesn’t have the ability to reason. Every kid is smarter than the extrapolation machine. Because the extrapolation machine doesn’t have smarts.
Either he doesn’t understand the product he’s schilling or he does and he thinks we’re idiots. I’ll let y’all decide which.

A kid growing up today will never be smarter than AI
And who’s fault do you think that is?
Just posting stupid shit so-and-so says sounds like engagement bait. Waste of time.
“A kid growing up today will never be smarter than AI” is depressing as fuck.
Also I have two kids and they’re both vastly smarter than “AI” in most ways.
If it was half as good as these guys claim thay wouldnt need to constantly pump it up and tell us we need to be using it for everything.
Where it is good people are already using it. Even in it’s best case it’s not a “must have”
Do you reckon that’s what people said during the industrial revolution
That tracks! The Epstein class doesn’t understand or care about consent…
Stop quoting CEOs. They are always saying what they think will make them more money. Always.
Altman thinks the public won’t be talking as much about “AI” a decade from now
correct, but not for the reasons he thinks
I’m not putting any value in the words of someone who sexually assaulted his own sister.
But every product that uses AI isn’t smart or helpful.
Man who sells thing says you need thing he sells.
More at 11!
Altman’s time on earth sure is negotioable.
