I have one of these as well. Its fun! and very hackable if your interested in those sorts of things.

Does anyone actually prefer the angle of the A and B buttons like that for most games?
It worked for me. Its the old style I think.
If you dont like it, you can get a lot of versions online (because its all open hardware). This is just the official supported one.
Style of the Dot Matrix Game Boy, and continued on right through to when they added two more to make the standard four-button diamond formation
Its a bit expensive, but if you like hackable game consoles and open source games, its really fun.
I actually just picked up two of these so I could co-op!
