Never slop
Why was the penguin AI-ed in?
I feel like “This could have been a photoshop” is going to be the “this could have been a meeting” for AI.
Ignore the AI tools in photoshop, every photoshop version after CS6 isn’t real.
you guys are using photoshop to make memes?
SignatureLookOfGimpSuperiority.png
or you know, 🇬🇧🇬🇧Kolour🇬🇧🇬🇧Paint
“This could have been a gimp” sends the wrong message to most people.
Most of the people here would read it and not skip a beat.
GIMP mentioned!
Oh God quickly disperse before gimp gang pulls up
Don’t worry. Ask them to draw a circle so we can escape.
Photoshop is also a verb, has been for decades actually, meaning a use of photo editing software in general.
Yes and maybe we shouldn’t continue this verbal standardization of Adobe products. Make people realize there are valid alternatives so they stop giving this corporation a shitload of money
It’s also how genericization happens, which can nullify trademarks.
Also saying you GIMPed something just doesn’t feel right
Fuck that, I love my gimp
Bring out the GIMP.
You fuckin’ with me, you fuckin′ with a G.I.M.P

<green pepper>
?
It’s a built-in Gimp texture. It’s like the monkey face in Blender. If you see the green pepper in an image, you know the image was made in the Gimp. It’s like a cheeky signature/nod.
lol, my frontend (mlmym) interprets it as an html tag and decides to show nothing (only
<!-- raw HTML omitted -->)
Memevolution
How do you know it was not AI-ed out of the original?
This would have made the photoshoot even more interesting than it probably was.
Because like so much of the IT field, most go for the easier thing to do and don’t have or are losing the skills to do these things themselves. A good photoshop is a rarity now, and often will get called AI slop because of it being good, so they don’t.
I always do this the shittiest way possible to show how low effort the shitpost is.
Usually that’s a screenshot of a meme generator (so it doesn’t include watermark) or some poorly pasted impact text added on my phone.
a screenshot of a meme generator (so it doesn’t include watermark)
Why the fuck have I never thought of that?
The entire image is AI.
Hey! They spent almost 30 minutes in Krita merging the shirt into the leg.

What movie is this from
Whatever it is it’s probably h.264.
It was originally from some photographer’s Instagram: https://knowyourmeme.com/sensitive/memes/forced-to-drink-milk
Hilarious. So what porno was this taken from? Lmao
Its not a porno, its just a photoshoot from motherland Russia.
Not a porno if I recall, just a weird (great) photoshoot
Mostly correct. IIRC, it was from some influencers’ photoshoot, and originally it doesn’t look anywhere near as spicy as the memes may imply. Someone did some research a while back, and it’s pretty tame.
How is that “mostly correct”? Seems it’s pretty correct
Wild if true, it’s certainly a provocative photo! Especially for milk lovers :)
Somebody should make a porno based on this. It could be a good porno.
Yes, which one so I can stay away from it and not watch it.
Know your meme says it was just an insta post
Thank god, I really feared having to watch it several times in a row.
I want my girlfriend to look at me like that
There is some intensity going on in that gaze…wonder if she is a fan of copilot lol
If anything Linux is also taking the bottle, it seems like: https://www.theregister.com/os-platforms/2026/08/10/linus-torvalds-says-ai-has-made-huge-linux-kernel-updates-the-new-normal/5285268 Completely self-inflicted, though, from what I can tell. Apparently they just enjoyed having a copyright time bomb as part of the code, or something - or I don’t know why else they’d do it.
At least the kernel hasn’t (yet) gone full KDE.
The KDE thing was a specific person declaring that they would hold a meeting about Gen AI in KDE, who hasn’t contributed to the project in years otherwise. Nobody is going to convince everyone to compile their own vibecoded version of KDE’s projects.
EDIT: See https://discuss.kde.org/t/sorry-to-bring-up-a-contentious-topic-kde-ai-llm-policy/46333/187. The developers seem to be responding in an acceptable manner, although I only looked at the start and end since it’s quite a long discussion.
THe kernel seems to be full steam ahead slop: https://arstechnica.com/ai/2026/07/linus-torvalds-to-critics-of-ai-coding-in-linux-fork-it-or-just-walk-away/ (Apart from the kernel subsystems were LLM use was banned, I think I heard something like that about something graphics related but I might be misremembering.)
“But it is what it is: the new normal with a lot of fixes, many of them due to review by various AI tools.”
AFAIK the “huge updates” are written by humans in response to LLM found bugs.
Linus Torvalds confirmed LLM use for new code is fine: https://arstechnica.com/ai/2026/07/linus-torvalds-to-critics-of-ai-coding-in-linux-fork-it-or-just-walk-away/ So I doubt it’s just human work.
I read through the exact message chain that article is referencing some time ago, which did not lead me to the conclusion the article would suggest. It seems that he consistently refers to AI use from the perspective of finding bugs more so than than fixing them, which he could definitely do a better job clarifying.
The message
Subject: Re: Linking Patchwork with Sashiko?
[snip]
I think it makes the point of sashiko - helping maintainers - unachievable. If the point to not use
LLMs in general, let’s discuss this, not how to make each use case more complex. It seems like [1] expresses a very anti-LLM position in general
Yes.
And no, that’s not the position of the Linux kernel.
I realize that some people really dislike AI, but this is an area
where I’m willing to absolutely put my foot down as the top-level
maintainer.Linux is not one of those anti-AI projects, and if somebody has issues
with that, they can do the open-source thing and fork it.[snip]
Yes, it can also be a somewhat painful tool, both for maintainer
workloads and just from a “it keeps finding embarrassing bugs”
standpoint.[snip]
(emphasis/snips mine)
EDIT: Note: sashiko is an LLM driven code review tool someone runs on the linux kernel. This entire discussion was about a code review tool.
This is the Linux foundation generative AI policy: https://www.linuxfoundation.org/legal/generative-ai
Linus Torvald’s position appears to be “Linux is not one of those anti-AI projects” and “AI is a tool, just like other tools we use”.
I don’t understand how you could possibly conclude from that, that it’s just used for reviews. The are so many contributors, and if there is no central policy of not contributing LLM code, it seems inevitable to me that there is a lot of LLM code going on.
Or why wouldn’t it be? Where do you get that confidence from? All I can see is that many involved people avoid admitting the seemingly rather obvious extent of it.
Unfortunate post underneath this one (as a KDE user):

Read the actual post. The stance is much the same as the kernel’s: If your code is solid, it doesn’t much matter how it came about.
The idea is that good code shouldn’t be identifiable as LLM-generated. If it’s within the general variance of human coding styles, abides by standards and the logic is sound and humanly understandable, it’s practically impossible to prove that it’s AI anyway.
If your code reeks of AI slop, it’ll be rejected because nobody wants slop. You, not your tools, are responsible for the quality of your contribution.
That is very different from the “fuck quality, use LLM for the sake of using LLM” mentality Micro$lop are exhibiting.
Did you even look at that Wikipedia article you linked?
There is a saying in Russian that sounds something like “one little claw is stuck means the whole bird gets eaten”. In other words, slop, not even once.
I have an old collegue that I meet about once a year. A year ago he was all about using it responsibly and stuff, this year we started arguing about merits of slop, and in the middle of conversation he opened a phone, asked a bot for more arguments, and read the response verbatim.Humans are fallible. No matter how well you review the code. It would be good if AI code can be identified. The kind of mistakes might be very different from the kind of mistakes human do. So when something happened, it can be identified to be AI generated. That data can be used to get an idea of what kind of mistakes are being committed.
I don’t know why Microsoft can’t understand:
Make something actually good. Give people the option to use it.
The only good products Microsoft ever made were their BASIC interpreters for 8-bit computers. Everything since then has been about cornering the market and denying customer choice.
This Ai slop is oddly arousing.
Hilarious that Linux is using an iPhone.
Eh. The choice between Android and iPhone is a bit tough if you don’t have access to GrapheneOS. You can have less freedom with Apple but good security and meh privacy, stock Android with freedom (but not soon) good security, and horrendous privacy, or another custom Android ROM that isn’t GrapheneOS, which has incredible freedom, bad security, and good privacy (assuming you don’t get hacked).
“Yeah, the iPhone has a manufacturer backdoor, but it’s really secure!”

Is this AI modified?
Yes, definitely.
In the original milk isn’t dripping off her chin and there’s more cleavage (though that’s cropping).
Also in the original the penguin is not recording, he’s standing with a coloured rock in his mouth.
I’ve seen this meme enough times I’m now curious how much milk (or whatever that is) the girl ended up drinking. Can anyone link it? Asking for a friend.
I’m afraid it only ever existed as a still. https://knowyourmeme.com/sensitive/memes/forced-to-drink-milk
Well damn then.
The dairy industry clearly needs to explore more-edgy ad campaigns.
can everyone please stop using this meme? For one is probably old enough to drink, but also… I wish I was over it by now… just stop torturing me… c’mon man…
9 year olds shouldn’t be drinking.
Wait, you mean this isn’t from actual porn?
sighs and zips up fucking unbelievable…
Brother, I believe your spirit is stronger than you think. Control your flesh!

pmjv !

Linux picturing with an iPhone? lol
maybe flashes with an unknown custom ROM
