In the International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing, researchers have built a flexible and ultra-fast artificial synapse printed entirely from room-temperature liquid inks that dissolves on demand in six minutes. The work shows that high-performance and brain-inspired hardware does not require extreme vacuum chambers, rare metals, or permanent electronic waste.

    I don’t get why you’d want a computer to be dissolvable or bendable…

    Sure it doesn’t seem like that would matter, but they seem to be trying to spin it as some sort of advantage?

      I mean, I can think of uses. They are extremely niche, such as a low-impact self-destructable rubber ducky, or a use case where you don’t want waste left around. But yeah I can’t think of many.
