I grew up redneck in a red area and most of the reason I still identify with the label is the realization that Mexicans, the Vietnamese, and pretty much every other culture also has rednecks (those are just the main ones I’ve seen on YouTube shorts). We’re inevitable.

Well that and also a lot of us North American ones can trace our culture back to the Unions of old and to a more abstract extent a Scottish striker group who were also called Rednecks, so we have that to take pride in really it’s mostly the boomers and Gen X who tarnished our name silent, greatest, and lost were proper feral and militant against the corporations at times. But yeah Redneckism is basically the inevitable end result of people being too smart, unwise, and not having enough money to do a job proper proper.
