I daresay the first two are even worth a playthrough, they’re not that long. Okay, maybe the first is pretty janky and you may want to skip it, but a W2 playthrough is a dozen hours or so, and it holds up ok-ish for a 2011 game.
But also they’re all fairly self-contained. Apart from some recurring characters and the general overarching plot ( which are all explained in W3 ) they’re not strictly mandatory.
