If this is biggest danger of Antartica, book me a flight.

But then there is the obligation of preemptive apendectomy in order to go to Antarctica. And I try to avoid being stabed to life as I can possibly manage.

Pretty sure that requirement is slightly overblown, just don’t travel near the winter months and you’re likely fine.

Is there a version of this with, you know, just one more space in the text? You know where.

Probably fake. Only found 2 links back to some sort of original post, one to x and one to Facebook and both had some bs story to go with it. I did find a 10 second clip on YouTube to some bullshit music and some motion, but idk.

I mean, who leaves their tent open in the Antarctic?

I mean, who leaves their tent open in the Antarctic?

Not saying it’s real, but… Someone who wants to take a photo like this? In the summer (which it would be since it’s light out) it’s not thaaat cold near the coast. Maybe -10 C, but probably more like +5 these days, sometimes much warmer. Additionally, for a single-walled tent, ventilation is extremely important or else moisture build up will condense on the tent and get you wet, which you really don’t want when it’s cold.

You are probably right, but just as a fun fact; Penguins exist far outside Antarctica:

        Penguin range from Wikipedia.

Those look like emperor penguins, though, which are actually endemic to Antarctica.
