I think it’s worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God given rights.
Everyone with guns is worth school shootings, basically. Sandy Hook isn’t an issue for him, because it’s worth it.

The problem I have is that he thought it was acceptable, or even preferred.

I don’t understand how that’s different than what I said. Gun violence includes shootings at schools.
One is stating an empirical fact, the other is saying that it’s acceptable. See the difference?
