I think all places are reserved seats now. Just dont list them for sale anymore. Then they can eventually be swapped with any seats that break. Kind of works out well if you ask me.
My local IMAX is still first-come-first-served and I hate it. Having to arrive up to 2 hours early (for premiere nights) and wait in line the entire time sucks. This is a true IMAX theater and not the liemax that AMC has.
Only way to do that is to remove all the seats. I’m not against it though.

If you take away all the chairs so attendees are on their feet the whole time, it’s almost guaranteed that they’ll under stand the movie.
