Your three data points don’t nullify the larger pattern. Lots of dogs can be shitty. Pit-bulls are uniquely strong and aggressive though. And German Shepherds can be gnarly bastards too. They’ll all fine if their owners know what they’re dealing with and can physically restrain the dog, but that’s so often not the case and owners don’t realize how little control they actually have until their dog is already gnawing on a child’s leg.
All dogs are like that to some degree. It blows my mind how popular they are as pets. And before people call me dog hater, I do have a dog and I treat it well and love it, but I’ll never get another one. They are quality of life decreasers.
The last 3 times I heard of a baby or toddler being eaten by a dog, it was a husky, not a pitbull. But nobody ever talks shit about huskies.
