      Vinegar?

Proper pipe cleaning is done using a sodium hydroxide solution. Plus, it causes permanent blindness if it comes in contact with eyes:

Other common uses of sodium hydroxide include: […]

      • as drain cleaners that convert pipe-clogging fats and grease into soap, which dissolves in water

Like other corrosive acids and alkalis, a few drops of sodium hydroxide solutions can readily decompose proteins and lipids in living tissues via amide hydrolysis and ester hydrolysis, which consequently cause chemical burns and may induce permanent blindness upon contact with eyes.

It’s genuinely dangerous, don’t handle this stuff if you don’t wear proper eye and skin protection.

        sodium hydroxide

Also known as lye, and is the main ingredient used in common household drain cleaners like Drano.

Dangerous, but not as dangerous as Fight Club would lead one to believe.

I must disagree, it is much like fight club would lead you to believe.

A friend passed out in a tub (very drunk) years ago with a teeny tiny diluted drop of the stuff in it. It straight up burned a hole in him.
