You don’t have to be very rich but you definitely need to have some personal savings to invest like that. 40% of Americans don’t have enough savings to pay for a $1000 emergency. 23% had to use savings to pay for holiday expanses. I bet it’s not much different in Europe. A lot of people can’t afford any extra expenses.

I just take issue with the word “rich”

Like all those people are poor, primarily as a result of the politicians and corporate greed. I ain’t rich but I’m luckily far from that 40% grouping. I’d probably be grouped as the elusive middle class

It’s all relative, right? What I meant is that most people that can afford solar panels don’t struggle with electricity bills. It’s a smart investment for them, not a life saving one. People that actually need it can’t afford it.

Ben Folds had a song about it. Something about getting free coffee once he was rich. No one gives poor people nice things. The richer you are the more things you get for free.

              Gotcha, that makes sense

It’s like that anecdote about the $50 shoes breaking down within a year vs the $150 shoes that last forever

The middle class isn’t elusive it’s house rare these day’s. Middle-class household are usually doctors, lawyers, scientists, or small business owners. That makes a pretty small percentage of the population. Middle class in America is 200-400k a year as a household. Only 10% of us household make that money.

the middle class is the class between the working class the and ruling class. It’s the defining class that emergences when a country starts to progress. People in this class are usually masters of their field or biasness owners.

That’s why I mentioned if you can get some. Just because some can’t get it, doesnt mean no one should consider it right?
