    He literaly plans to end the republic and create a new one by gathering randomly selected citizens in a room, so if you like change you can’t expect more

        That is exactly the point of this movement. France 5th Republic has the president holding too much power. They want to write a new constitution, the 6th Republic, to address this issue and establish a system with more power separation and balance. And possibly more space for direct democracy?

          My question is why must the entire Republic be changed? I am not French or into French politics so I don’t know why the republics change so often?

            It’s a long story but basically instead of doing amendments the french like to start with a clean slate every time the current system seems inadequate.

            Previous republics ended due to wars, revolutions and political deadlock.
